ChargerLAB POWER-Z CT001 Reveals Pin Continuity of vivo’s Original USB-C Cable

Today, we used the POWER-Z CT001 USB-C Cable Tester to examine the original dual USB-C fast-charging cable included with the vivo X300 Ultra. The tester can identify pin continuity without cutting open the cable.

Pins detected on the B-side USB1 connector: B1 (GND), B4 (VBUS), B5 (CC2), B9 (VBUS), and B12 (GND).
Pins detected on the A-side USB2 connector: A12 (GND), A9 (VBUS), A7 (D−), A6 (D+), A5 (CC1), A4 (VBUS), and A1 (GND).

The cable has complete VBUS and GND power connections, allowing it to carry high charging currents. Both CC1 and CC2 channels are present. Together with the built-in E-Marker chip, the cable can properly initiate high-voltage fast-charging negotiation and supports both proprietary fast charging and USB PD.

The D+ and D− lines are also connected, enabling USB 2.0 basic file transfer.

During testing, no TX/RX high-speed differential pairs or SBU video channels were detected. This indicates that the cable is designed mainly for charging and basic data communication. It does not support USB 3 high-speed data transfer or DisplayPort video output.

Before hardware testing, the POWER-Z CT001 can be used to verify cable wiring and prevent missing connections from affecting test results.
